RegisterFly Domainers – Don’t wait for an email from godaddy !

June 8, 2007

Domain Names

I have waited for an email from godaddy but nothing came so I went back to their welcome page and played around until I got my domains back. Here is what you should do:

1 - Make sure you are logged out from your old godaddy account if you have one.

2 - Goto:  Get the customer number.

3 - Type in one of your domains that you had with regfly. Type in the security access code and click continue.

4 - Check your email. The email you used with your regfly account.

5 - Now you have the Customer Number for your domain name.

6 - Goto: Reset the password for the new account.

7 - Use the Customer Number you got from godaddy and type in the security access code.

8 - Check your email address again and you should have an email from godaddy to reset your password.

9 – Follow the instructions in the email and reset your password.

10 - Login to your new godaddy account as a normal client. Your username would be the Customer Number you got from godaddy in step 5.

This will help you get your domains without waiting for an email from godaddy. You will be helping godaddy as well, after all, they are dealing with 850.000 domains as we speak.

I have tried it and it worked for me. I used one of my regfly domains to get the Customer Number, I thought I would end up doing this for each domain I have, but I was wrong. When I logged into my new account, I found all my regfly domains.

Thanks to icann and Godaddy for sticking with us when most needed :)
