Many sites these days are getting pagerank 6/7 and if you check these sites in google, you can hardly find any backlinks. It seem’s that there are a few secret methods out there, to get high pagerank without the need for quality backlinks, and it seem’s to be working really good for these guys. I have even seen some of them selling ebooks for $10 on webmaster forums, explaning their secret methods and how it worked for them.
Im sure we are all interested in finding out these secret methods in order to get high pagerank but think for a minute, if some webmasters have already found easy methods to get pagerank 6/7, how long would it take them to figure out new methods to get pagerank 8/9, if not found already !
If google doesn’t buy that $10 ebook and fix the problem soon, then the whole pagerank system would become as useless as FFA sites !

Page rank isn’t important anymore. Of course its always nice to see if your site gets more green, but its not important on serps.

Man this sucks but I personally know of a site that has 0 backlinks but has a page rank of 3.

My site http://www.oculoplastic.info has a page rank of 5 with only 18 back links. I can say that the high page rank has not helped with search results.
